Optimize operating efficiency and implement best practices
One of EDP Renováveis’s goals is to continuously improve its operational processes and to implement best practices in its business, in order to stimulate growth and profit earning capacity. In particular, EDP Renováveis aims to achieve the following:
01. Continue to use and develop its superior wind resource capacities, which play a crucial role in conducting the wind energy business and are a key element in maximizing income;
02. Develop greenfield project opportunities and execute the projects in portfolio in a competent and successful manner;
03. Continue to create and develop long-term relations with flexible terms and conditions with suppliers of market-leading turbines at competitive prices, to guarantee the supply of turbines to EDP Renováveis for its projects and to ensure growth targets are achieved, while minimizing technology risks and capital expenditure in a sector noted for being capital intensive.
04. Leverage its growth in Operations and Maintenance experience in order to increase control of O&M activities with significant added value, especially during the post-manufacture warranty period so as to improve efficiency levels and, by that means, drive income upwards as well as take advantage of economies of scale and reduce O&M costs.
